A digital artwork I made in 2011 during a 6 week stay in Hong Kong. The artwork is a mini-planet-panorama and is made up of 64 original photos which are later composited together. Cleanup is done later in Photoshop.
Above: Cropped view. This is not at 100% magnification. The final image has a canvas of 20,000 pixels.
This artwork was created from a series of photos taken on the roof of the ‘Tai Hing’ building where I was staying. Each of the 64 photos is 18 mega-pixels and so the final theoretical resolution of this artwork can be 10’s of thousands of pixels. I finished this with a horizontal resolution of 20,000 pixels at the time.
